Mount Laurel4.jpg
Mount Laurel is All Heart!

Mount Laurel dug down deep to win the Grade 3 Three Troikas Stakes at Turffontein over 1400m on 04 January 2020. Craig Zackey rode a top race to get her nose in front where it matters most. Mount Laurel is now 4 from 5 and she should keep improving as she matures. Congratulations to owners Gary Alexander Racing Stables cc, Jimmy Cook, Bob Yearham, Nigel Atherton, Clive Tavener & Suzan Louw. Mount Laurel was bred by Mauritzfontein & Wilgerbosdrift Studs.

Liberado(NZ) Relishes the Soft Ground!

Liberado(NZ) ran out an easy winner over the straight mile at the Vaal on Christmas Eve, he relished the soft underfoot conditions and Denis Schwarz came from near the back of the field on him to win going away. It should pay to follow Liberado(NZ) in similar conditions, he has ability and should win more races this season. Congratulations to Owners; Ralphs Racing (Pty) Ltd (Nominee Miss K Ralphs); Pravin Chetty, Adrian Giuricich; Gerald Kalil & Greg Sadie. Liberado(NZ) was bred by Caradale (Pty) Ltd, NSW, Australia

Master And Man4.jpg
Good Riding by Denis Schwarz !

Denis Schwarz who becomes a fully-fledged jockey on 13th January 2020 rode a good race, to get Master & Man up by a short head, at the Vaal on Christmas eve. Master & Man dwelt at the start and Denis found himself further back than he wanted to be, to make matters worse they slowed the pace down to a crawl, which is not ideal for Master & Man. But Denis made up ground early in the straight on Master & Man and ultimately this move won him the race, which turned out to be a bit of a sprint to the line. This was Master & Man’s 4th win and this Await the Dawn gelding is on the up, it should pay to follow him through the season. Congratulations to owners Bruce & Jo Gardner & Gary Alexander. Master & Man was bred by Summerhill Stud!
