Magic School cruised to victory under apprentice Denis Schwarz over 1160m at Turffontein, Saturday 06 July 2019. Just Kidding shed her maiden tag in fine style on Sunday 30 June 2019, at Turffontein over 1400m. Well ridden by leading apprentice Denis Schwarz, Just Kidding made good improvement after running 2nd in her first start. She looks like she will be progressive, and it should pay to follow her. The Sands sported blinkers for the first time, and they did the tick! Well handled by apprentice Luke Ferraris, he cruised to victory over 1200m on the polytrack at Greyville on Saturday 29 June 2019. He shows lots at home and it may pay to follow him next season. Musi Yeni is riding at the top of his game and is currently heading up the SA Jockeys Championship. Gaian Glory unexpectedly won on debut at Turffontein Racecourse on Saturday 20 April 2019 over 1000m. Ridden by stable rider Denis Schwarz, Gaian Glory was a bit slow away and got hampered shortly after the start. She raced near the back of the field and started progressing soon after entering the straight. At the 300m mark she was had about 3 lengths to make up on the leaders, she finished strongly to win by over four lengths. Earlier in his career The Bee Eff Gee showed that he needed ground, but when tried, he just was not strong enough to handle it. He has taken time to come to hand and won a good race over 2000m at Turffontein on Saturday 23 February 2019 to shed his maiden tag. Under a strong ride from Jockey Sherman Brown he got the chestnut Await The Dawn gelding to produce a sustained finish and hit the front in the final few strides. Liberado(NZ) has always shown good potential and it has been a bit frustrating that he didn’t shed his maiden tag in his first few starts, A combination of different things led to him being a tad luckless at times. But he got it all right and won a good contest over 1600m at Turffontein on Saturday 23 February 2019 to crack his maiden in good style. Another good ride by top apprentice Denis Schwarz, he had Liberado(NZ) well placed and produced him at the right time to win well. Nimcha went from pillar to post to shed his maiden tag at Turffontein over 1800m on 09 February 2019. A late maturing son of Golden Sword, Nimcha should keep improving and it may pay to follow him this season. Hero’s Honour showed his class in a fluent win at Turffontein over 1600m on 09 February 2019, in a competitive assessment plate. Well ridden by apprentice Denis Schwarz, he had Hero’s Honour well placed just off the pace and when he asked for an effort Hero’s Honour responded instantly and produced a strong finish to win going away. Zeal and Zest was back to his best on Saturday at Turffontein Racecourse on 02 February 2019. Under a good ride from apprentice Denis Schwarz, Zeal & Zest kept finding to beat a competitive field over 2000m at his home track. Zeal & Zest is now a five-time winner and the way he won suggests that there is more to come from this son of Traffic Guard.
