Zeal & Zest quickened well at the top of the straight, but then started to race green in the closing stages. However he dug down deep under a strong ride from jockey Chase Maujean, to win a good contest over 2000m at Turffontein in a MR80 Handicap, on 30 July 2017. Leading apprentice Lyle Hewitson certainly knows how to get AP Chanel to perform at her best. Two wins a second & a third, from four rides on her, is a pretty impressive record. On Thursday, 06 July 2017 over 2000m, Lyle got the best out of AP Chanel and produced her at the right time to hold on in a tight finish. This was AP Chanel’s fifth win and there maybe a couple more in her off her current rating.
