Top jockey Piere Strydom gave Chijmes a perfect ride to win a competitive Pinnacle Stakes over 1800m at Turffontein Racecourse on 15 February 2020. Strydom had Chijmes beautifully placed from the start and when he asked him to run, Chijmes quickened well and ran to the line to win a good contest.
