He has taken time to come to hand and won a good race over 2000m at Turffontein on Saturday 23 February 2019 to shed his maiden tag. Under a strong ride from Jockey Sherman Brown he got the chestnut Await The Dawn gelding to produce a sustained finish and hit the front in the final few strides. Hero’s Honour showed his class in a fluent win at Turffontein over 1600m on 09 February 2019, in a competitive assessment plate. Well ridden by apprentice Denis Schwarz, he had Hero’s Honour well placed just off the pace and when he asked for an effort Hero’s Honour responded instantly and produced a strong finish to win going away.
